Here you can add and select a Proxy List File of your
choice. List file is a text file where all proxy server information is
stored. You can maintain multiple List Files. To add a new one,
enter file's full path in the
List File combo box or select a file through button Browse. Click Save, then Reload in the main window.
Hiproxy will
convert the file in its own internal format and show it in the Proxy List. Hiproxy
will read any file with proxy
addresses in format IP:port (like 190.215.121.6:80) or name:port
(like vproxy.best.com:80) with one address per line.
The Real IP box should always contain your Real IP address. It is required for accurate proxy verification. Select "auto detect Real IP" and allow Hiproxy to maintain this important parameter automatically. You can check your Real IP address at any time and compare it to box "Real IP". HTTP Test is the page loaded by Hiproxy when you verify a proxy server. When you click Verify from the Command Menu, Hiproxy sends a request to the selected proxy asking to read the HTTP Test web page. From the response received, Hiproxy can determine if the selected proxy has revealed your IP address, i.e. if the proxy is anonymous or not. Test pages should contain string "REMOTE_ADDR". You can add your own test pages by typing their address into the box and hitting Save. You can use ProxyJudge pages for HTTP Test. Proxy Judges are environment-checker web pages that rate proxies. You can find them searching Google with "inurl:prxjdg.cgi", "intitle:ProxyJudge". Sometimes test pages get overloaded and respond with status code 302 - indication to replace the page with another. You can also type "renew" and hit key Enter to get the latest test pages from Hiproxy.com. HTTPS Test is a secure web page. Each HTTPS Test page contains its own Return Text. Return Text parameter is a string inside the HTTPS Test web page. It confirms that the selected proxy has indeed reached the Test page. If Return Text is not found in the response, the proxy address is invalid or is not performing correctly. You can Enable HTTPS test with a checkbox.
Tunnel Test verifies HTTP proxies for CONNECT command support. Tunneling
proxies are SSL (HTTPS) enabled proxies which can transmit information to
other proxies. They can be linked in a chain, the method is called
"proxy chaining". They can also be used as substitute for Socks as
explained in FAQ. Tunnel Test is not performed for Socks proxies in
the list. In mixed lists with HTTP and Socks proxies, you can select where Socks proxies to be located. Choose Top or Bottom of list from the Socks Join radio button. The actual joining is performed by command "Join all Socks proxies" from the command menu. Sometimes you need to save certain
proxies from accidental deletion. This is done by entering text in the Comment
column and selecting "dont delete if comment" in Settings. |
